The people of Cambodia believe that after death their ancestor become ghosts whose earthly actions shape their appearance and that they walk the earth at this time. The living eases their suffering by offering them food. People also make offerings of money, dresses and other items to the monks in the temples.

A majority of people in Cambodia take this festival very seriously even if their beliefs and ideas have changed, so great is the impact of Buddhist religion which is an integral part of Khmer culture. This year the last Pchum Ben Day is expected to be celebrated on September 29. Today is the 3rd day (17-september-2008)

Starting with MS Office Publisher

Currently beside my duty of web develping, I’m in charge of creating newsletter for my department. I simply use MS Office Word and Adobe Image Styler to serve a little design. But for the current edition, I suddently wanna try with MS Office Publisher. It seems not bad for me. It ’s not defficult as MS Office Word. It has a numbers of  templates. It generate frames, images blog…easy to manage.

Newsletter No 12 has been created with MS Office Word. Let’s compare with Newsletter No 13 which has been tried with MS Office Publisher.
